***A SEPARATE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED FOR EACH STUDENT***
Applications for the 2019-2020 school year are still available. We have current openings for some of our grades. Please fill out an application and call the GWA office at 435-673-2232 for information on our current waitlist.
Applications for the 2020-2021 school year are now available for students entering Kindergarten through 7th grade. These applications are valid for students turning 5 years old on or before September 1, 2020. The lottery for the 2020-2021 school year will take place on February 3, 2020. All applications received after January 31, 2020 will be added to the waitlist. If your child is not a current student, you will need to reapply each year.
George Washington Academy is open to all Utah students, regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, national origin, or ability/disability status. Acceptance to GWA is based on the following criteria:
The names of students not eligible via the first two criteria will be entered into a lottery, with the drawing held in February. Once all classes have been filled, remaining names will be placed on the GWA wait list in the order drawn. If an accepted student decides not to attend GWA or leaves the school during the year, their position will be offered to the next wait-listed student for that grade level.
New students accepted to GWA must complete and return their online registration packets located on our website HERE. Those not meeting the deadline may lose their spot in the classroom, which will then be offered to the next student on the waitlist.
At George Washington Academy, Kindergarten classes run a full day on the same schedule as older grades.
As determined by Utah State Law, George Washington Academy is required to have immunization records or a waiver from the Health Department for each enrolled child. Exemptions are available to parents for medical, religious, or personal convictions. If your child has not been immunized according to the Utah Schedule, you may obtain an exemption form from the County Health Department. Immunization records and birth certificates are required before a child may attend.
Every child entering Kindergarten must have an eye exam prior to the 1st day of school.
