Instructional Coach

George Washington Academy is currently looking to hire a full-time Instructional Coach for the 2026-27 school year. Salary ranges from $73,631 - $78,219 (with a Bachelor's degree), with additional salary depending on degree and continued education. Applicants should also be aware of our school's mission and systems in place.
The Instructional Coach will assist school administration with assessing school-wide and individual staff development needs, setting specific goals, developing training programs to meet specified needs, and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented programs. The Instructional Coach will act as a personnel development specialist through training and mentoring teachers in the GWA Instructional Framework, data analysis, and research-based instructional practices, and assist individual teachers to understand and implement targeted curriculum and strategies. The Instructional Coach will work closely with GWA’s Assessment Coordinator to ensure knowledge of assessment requirements, timelines, and best practices, and assist teachers in this process.
Qualifications:
- Valid Utah Professional Educator License
- Minimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching
- Demonstrated organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work positively, collaboratively, and effectively with administration, faculty, staff, students, and the community
- Strong skill set in written and verbal communication with parents.
- Agreement with the academic goals and philosophy of the school
- Ability to lead, train, and support faculty
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with and ability to train other teachers on GWA’s Instructional Framework
- A strong understanding of the Utah State Standards and the ability to train other faculty and staff on these
- A strong understanding of best practices in instruction and the ability to guide others
